In the heart of northern Alabama, in Huntsville, lies a place that played a key role in America’s space race and continues to inspire generations of visitors: the U.S. Space & Rocket Center. Often referred to as the “world’s largest space museum,” it is far more than a simple exhibition—it’s a center where science becomes an experience, and the dream of exploring the universe takes on a tangible form. Opened in 1970 and officially affiliated with NASA, the center houses one of the largest collections of rockets and space vehicles in the world, including original models of the Saturn V rocket, Apollo modules, the Space Shuttle, and the technologies that have defined America’s aerospace history.
